“A World in Bloom” exhibition brings together the work of three Canadian female artists: Nadia Lassman, Darlene Winfield, and Lara Provost, each offering a distinct interpretation of the natural world through colour, light, movement, and emotion.

The tradition of Dutch Golden Age floral painting brought meticulous botanical detail, abundance, symbolism, and an awareness of the fleeting nature of beauty to the genre. Centuries later, the Impressionists transformed the way nature was represented, emphasizing light, atmosphere, colour, movement, and the immediacy of a moment.

“A World in Bloom” brings these artistic legacies into a contemporary context, exploring how these ideas continue to resonate in the work of artists today.
